FLEETWOOD MAC
Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. They have sold more than 120 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling bands. In 1998, select members of Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame[6] and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.[7]
Fleetwood Mac was founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer. Bassist John McVie completed the lineup for their self-titled debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968. Keyboardist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album, married McVie and joined in 1970. At this time it was primarily a British blues band, scoring a UK number one with "Albatross",[8] and also had other hits such as the singles "Oh Well" and "Man of the World". All three guitarists left in succession during the early 1970s, to be replaced by guitarists Bob Welch and Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker. By 1974, all three had either departed or been dismissed, leaving the band without a male lead vocalist or guitarist.
In late 1974, while Fleetwood was scouting studios in Los Angeles, he was introduced to folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac soon asked Buckingham to be their new lead guitarist, and Buckingham agreed on condition that Nicks would also join the band. The addition of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock sound, and their 1975 self-titled album, Fleetwood Mac, reached No. 1 in the United States.

Οι Socrates πρωτοεμφανίστηκαν στα κλαμπ της Αθήνας, και κυρίως στο Κύτταρο.[3] Το ρεπερτόριο τους συμπεριελάμβανε κομμάτια από τη δισκογραφία τους αλλά και διασκευές από καλλιτέχνες όπως ο Τζίμι Χέντριξ, ο Φρανκ Ζάπα, oι Rolling Stones και άλλους. Έγιναν γνωστοί για τον συνδυασμό του ύφους της ελληνικής παραδοσιακής ηπειρώτικης μουσικής και το έντονο ροκ στυλ με τα δύο σταθερά και ιδρυτικά μέλη, τον Γιάννη Σπάθα (κιθάρα) και τον Αντώνη Τουρκογιώργη (μπάσο, τραγούδι) να γράφουν τραγούδια όπως το "Mountains" και το "Starvation". Έχουν παίξει στο Hammersmith Odeon του Λονδίνου ως support σε περιοδεία των UFO..[5] Για αρκετά χρόνια μετά το 1986, το γκρουπ δεν έκανε ζωντανές εμφανίσεις. Ωστόσο, το 1999 επανενώθηκε με συναυλία στον Λυκαβηττό, όπου τα βασικά μέλη βρέθηκαν ξανά μαζί (Τουρκογιώργης-Σπάθας-Τρανταλίδης) με την προσθήκη καινούργιων μουσικών (Δημήτρης Μπέλλος - πλήκτρα, Μαρκέλλα Παναγιώτου και Νίκος Κουρουπάκης - δεύτερα φωνητικά). Μαζί τους συνεργάστηκε ο πιανίστας Δημήτρης Πολύτιμος.[6]
Μετά από κάποιες εμφανίσεις έγιναν σημαντικές αλλαγές των μελών και το συγκρότημα πήρε σταθερή μορφή από το 2002 μέχρι και το 2010 με τους: Γιάννη Σπάθα, Αντώνη Τουρκογιώργη, Μάκη Γιούλη, Αστέρη Παπασταματάκη και Μαρκέλλα Παναγιώτου.[7] Στο διάστημα αυτό, το γκρουπ έκανε μεγάλες συναυλίες σε όλη την Ελλάδα αλλά και σε clubs της Αθήνας μεταξύ των οποίων το Ρόδον, το Κύτταρο, το Rodeo και το House Of Art.
Το 2010 ο Γιάννης Σπάθας, ο Αντώνης Τουρκογιώργης και ο Μάκης Γιούλης ξεκίνησαν να ηχογραφούν νέα τραγούδια ωστόσο, κατά την διάρκεια των ηχογραφήσεων, ένα σοβαρό πρόβλημα υγείας του Αντώνη Τουρκογιώργη έπαυσε την πορεία της μπάντας.[8
